Recently, CSCEC released a brand video for its Up We Build program in Egypt. The video has four chapters: professional skills training, diversified communication platform, women's career development and youth architecture enlightment. It tells the story of Chinese and Egyptian builders growing together and working side by side to build cities.
Two training bases of CSCEC's Up We Build College (UWB College) have opened in the central business district of Egypt's New Administrative Capital and in New Alamein City. They offer hands-on training using practical models, along with courses in engineering, technology and safety. The bases have held more than 100 training sessions.

Chinese and Egyptian experts also provide training in specialized areas such as super high-rise construction, building information modeling (BIM) and green construction, helping local trainees master key technologies.

Beyond skills training, the program promotes language learning and cultural exchange. Its video series, "Let's Learn Chinese in the New Capital," has 59 episodes and has attracted more than 24 million online views.

The program also works with universities. It has partnered with more than 10 well-known Egyptian universities, including Cairo University, and has invited more than 800 teachers and students to visit project sites.

Professional exchanges in the construction sector between the two countries continue. The China-Egypt Sustainable Building and Construction Forum has been held for three consecutive editions, bringing together representatives from government, industry associations, companies and academia to discuss green construction and smart cities. The forum has also produced thematic technical reports.

The program also supports women's career development in the construction industry. It offers tailored courses and hands-on experience in key roles, along with incentives to help women develop their skills in technology, management and cultural exchange.

A Chinese and Egyptian design team
At UWB College, women receive training in core skills such as design and translation and become key members of project teams. Some apply building information modeling (BIM) to explore new possibilities in architectural design, while others teach Chinese to promote cross-cultural understanding or demonstrate strong management skills. Outstanding trainees are selected to share their experiences.

For young Egyptians, the program organizes architecture enlightment and cultural exchange activities. The "Egypt's New Capital in My Eyes" Egypt-China Youth Architecture Painting Competition, co-hosted with the China Cultural Center in Cairo, has attracted thousands of participants.

Volunteers bring architecture enlightment classes to local schools and visit an orphanage in Cairo. They teach children basic architectural concepts, common Chinese phrases and Chinese culture, and encourage them to draw their dream homes.

The volunteers have also revisited Misr Al Hurra School. During festivals such as Children's Day, they explain super high-rise construction techniques and smart management systems, giving children a firsthand look at the appeal and significance of modern architecture.
