The project marks CSCEC's debut in water engineering in developed markets. It represents Israel's first major new port in 60 years, and is the most advanced, eco-friendly, and rapidly constructed terminal on the eastern Mediterranean coast. The Phase 1 dock has a quay length of 805.5 meters, with an annual designed throughput of 1.06 million standard containers. The project start construction in July 2018.
The port was officially opened on September 1, 2021. Upon full operation, it serves as Israel's largest container center and a vital trading hub. It offers more efficient and convenient cargo flow for Israel and its neighboring regions, establishing itself as a pivotal route for Israel's trade with European and the Asia-Pacific markets.
