Recently, the 2026 Green & Low-Carbon Expo and the 2026 International Engineering Construction Expo opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Tianjin).
CSCEC showcased its achievements in international engineering, smart construction, green and low-carbon technology, "Quality Homes," and urban renewal — highlighting how innovation is driving high-quality development in the construction industry.

Scenes of CSCEC's booth

The international engineering section featured CSCEC's landmark overseas projects, including sea-crossing bridges, rail transit lines, expressways, high-end residential buildings, and logistics facilities. Among them was the first phase of the Astana Light Rail Transit project in Kazakhstan, which opened to traffic this May and is Central Asia's first urban light rail line.
In the smart construction section, CSCEC displayed several independently developed technologies. The key techniques behind the two rotations of the ultra-heavy Longyan Bridge in Fujian set two world records: it was the first bridge to be moved into place using a horizontal rotation method, and it involved the tallest structure ever moved into place this way.
The intelligent construction section highlighted innovations already deployed on major projects, including 5G smart tower cranes, high-precision multi-purpose digital monitoring equipment, compact, high-efficiency green hydrogen-to-electricity converters, smart concrete curing chambers, and tethered drones. A BIM-plus-GIS digital project management platform and a digital tunnel platform completed the lineup, tracking hazards throughout construction and supporting full-process project management, thereby improving on-site safety and precision.
The green and low-carbon section displayed green, high-performance materials developed in-house by CSCEC, including a low-carbon cementitious material made entirely from solid waste, rapid-repair materials, ultra-high-performance concrete, microbially self-healing concrete, and microbial foaming materials. These materials are already in use in municipal, transportation, building, and water conservancy projects.

CSCEC also showcased its achievements in the "Quality Homes" construction system, which covers "good standards, good design, good materials, good construction, and good services."

In the urban renewal section, CSCEC highlighted the Xi'an Happiness Forest Belt and the project to upgrade the right bank area of the Bahe River in Xi'an's Chanba ecological zone as examples of blending industry with city life and upgrading urban functions. The Happiness Forest Belt is currently the world's largest project for the integrated use of underground space and China's largest urban landscape forest belt.
