CSCEC showcases smart products at 2026 World Robot Conference

CSCEC recently showcased a range of self-developed smart products at the 2026 World Robot Conference held in Beijing, highlighting how construction robots are driving innovation as the building industry undergoes digital transformation.

Drawing on its work in housing construction, infrastructure, new energy and urban renewal, CSCEC has developed construction robots and smart digital tools designed to address real challenges on construction sites. These technologies have helped reduce costs, improve efficiency and quality, and support the industry's shift toward greener, low-carbon construction.

CSCEC's steel structure robots cover six key stages of fabrication and construction: cutting, welding, rust removal, spraying, logistics and inspection. The lineup also includes digital products such as the Lingxi Cube smart manufacturing platform and industrial internet tools, providing customers with integrated solutions that combine smart equipment, industrial software and digital services.

Here's a look at some of the construction robots on display.

A flexible welding robot, designed for on-site welding of steel structures, handles butt welds on components such as box columns and round tube columns. It automatically recommends optimal welding parameters, increasing welding efficiency by more than 30 percent.

The Lingxi Cube smart manufacturing platform covers the entire process, from production line design and equipment integration to operations, providing an all-in-one solution for building smart factories.

A collaborative welding robot — compact, lightweight and easy to operate — allows workers to set just the start and end points of a weld seam. The system then automatically plans the welding path and selects optimal welding parameters. One operator can remotely monitor multiple robots at the same time, significantly improving efficiency. The robot is already used in steel structure construction, shipbuilding and nuclear power piping.

The Tianchan construction robot system integrates smart equipment, automated control, task scheduling, quality inspection and performance management into a single system that enables people and robots to work together.

The Intelligent Assembled Bridge-Building Machine (IABM) introduces a first-of-its-kind "integrated pier-and-girder" assembly technology. Unlike traditional bridge-building machines, which erect girders one at a time, the IABM assembles multiple components together, enabling automated lifting of precast components with millimeter-level precision and improving girder-placement efficiency by 68.7 percent.
