Prime Minister Mambe stated that the opening of the project would effectively alleviate traffic congestion between the two banks, ease the traffic congestion in the areas around the northern highway, and improve people's travel efficiency during the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. This project aims to boost Ivory Coast's economic development and enhance the quality of life for local residents.

The main bridge over the Ebrié Lagoon spans 792 meters, with a width of 33.9 meters, featuring eight lanes in both directions, making it the widest bridge in Abidjan to date.
