Recently, a completion and handover ceremony took place for the section from Thika Dam to Ngeatment Treatment Works of Kenya's BULK Water Supply Pipeline undertaken by CSCEC.
Eng. Joseph Kamau, the project manager of the Athi Water Works Development Agency, expressed the significance of the section's commissioning during the ceremony. He emphasized its vital role in improving water supply for the residents along its route, thus enhancing their livelihoods and contributing to local economic development. Kamau extended his gratitude to CSCEC for its contributions to Kenya's infrastructure development aimed at improving the quality of life for the Kenyan people.
This project, as a crucial water infrastructure project in Kenya, marks the first major infrastructure project undertaken by CSCEC in the country. Upon its completion, it will provide a stable and dependable water source for the capital city Nairobi and approximately three million people living along the route.
