This project is located in Nasiriyah, the capital of the Dhi Qar Governorate in Iraq. It includes the construction of a new terminal, a VIP terminal, an air traffic control tower, a fire and rescue station, and a 3,400-meter-long runway for four-engine wide-body aircraft such as the Boeing 747 and Airbus A340. It also comprises taxiways, connecting roads, aprons, apron roads, and fire lanes, with a total area of approximately 586,000 square meters. Once completed, the project has a long-term plan for an annual passenger capacity of 2.5 million people.

The project team has adopted measures to reduce temperature, such as concrete icing. They have also conducted comprehensive optimization in terms of mechanical equipment, concrete mix ratio for construction, work process, and workflow connections. Additionally, they have utilized water-saving moisture-retaining membranes, transforming the traditional water-spraying maintenance method for concrete pavements, which effectively enhanced construction quality.
