Haikou International Duty Free City, the largest tax-free city in Asia

Haikou International Duty Free City is a landmark project in the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port. It will build a large-scale international duty-free commercial complex integrating duty free zones, offices, apartments, relaxation and cultural tourism. With a planned total construction area of 926,000 square meters, it will become the largest duty-free city in Asia after its completion.

Hoisting technology of large-scale steel structure

The roof steel structure is 350 meters long and 180 meters wide. The project adopts BIM (Building information modeling) technology to assist deepening, processing and construction simulation of steel structure and applies comprehensive construction method to hoist and lift, which effectively solves the problems in positioning and large deformation of the space bar in grid structure, so as to ensure the installation accuracy and construction safety of large-scale steel structure.

3D scanning technology

To ensure the overall construction of the 64,000 square meters of shaped roof, the project adopts 3D scanning technology to locate spatial components, and makes spatial comparison and analysis between the scanned and the design model of the grid, so as to effectively tackle the problem of connection deviation between the grid and the metal curtain wall, and improve the overall construction quality of the shaped roof.

BIM-assisted mechanical and electrical prefabrication technology

In order to rapidly complete the batch processing of more than 200,000 square meters of air duct and nearly 200,000 meters of pipes, the project applies BIM-assisted prefabrication technology to connect the data of BIM pipeline integration model with automated computer numerical control machine tools, so as to realize the modern and fully automatic production and processing of components based on the BIM model, which improves the efficiency of mechanical and electronic materials, reduces the cost of material processing, and ensures the on-site construction progress.
