Built by CSCEC, the steel roof structure of Longxing Football Stadium in Chongqing, which weighs 14,000 tons, was successfully topped out. It will soon enter the stage of decoration and construction of the metal roof and curtain walls.

Within the surrounding area of 5 square kilometers, it is planned to build Longxing Football Town, an urban functional complex integrating international competitions, national fitness, football youth training and hotel etc.

The steel roof of football field is oval in plane, with a projection length of 283 meters from north to south and a width of 252 meters from east to west. The maximum height of the roof is 59.5 meters, and the total weight of steel structure is 13,000 tons. Based on this, CSCEC adopts the construction method combining cantilevered roof truss and single-layer curved bar load-bearing. More than 11,000 tons of steel bars and 46,000 cubic meters of concrete are used in the main structure uses. In addition, super-large machinery is used for hoisting operation to solve the problem of excessive unloading support points of long-span cantilever truss, and BIM technology is used to promote the project construction through computer simulation process construction.

Since the beginning of the project, 1.8 million cubic meters of earth and stone field has been leveled in 60 days, 300,000 cubic meters of foundation pit earth and stone excavation has been completed in 40 days, 600 pile foundations, 350 independent foundations and 1,700-meter strip foundations have been completed in 30 days, 60,000 square meters of basement structure has been completed in 60 days, 106,900 square meters of above-ground main structure has been completed in 120 days, and 14,000 tons of steel structure have been hoisted in 112 days.

As for quality management, CSCEC has achieved 100% acceptance for the steel structure materials entering the site and the welding quality before hoisting, and the standardization rate of all facilities on site has reached 100%.
