The second phase of Meilan Terminal is one of the major landmark projects for the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port, with a total construction area of 300,000 square meters, including 1 floor underground and 4 floors above ground. It consists of 5 parts: the main building, the southwest airside concourse, the northwest airside concourse, the southeast airside concourse and the northeast airside concourse. After operation, it is planned to have an annual throughput of 35 million passengers and 400,000 tons of cargo by 2025. Haikou Meilan International Airport will officially enter a new era of development with dual terminals and dual runways and open a new chapter for the high-quality construction of the gateway in the air to Hainan Free Trade Port.
