CSCEC focuses on quality construction and strengthens technological innovation, and has been delivering architectural marvels across Egypt—from the Suez Canal Swing Railway Bridge Project to the CBD project in New Administrative Capital, standing as shining pearls along the "Belt and Road."

Suez Canal Swing Railway Bridge Project

The construction includes building a new railway bridge over the New Suez Canal and upgrading the existing railway bridge over the Old Suez Canal.

The new bridge is a movable double-swing steel railway bridge with a span of 640 meters. It was constructed using the latest design methods, engineering materials, and cutting-edge technologies. It is built as a standard-gauge double train line and the world's first giant horizontally rotated double swing rail bridge. The retrofitting and upgrading of the existing bridge are the first of their kind globally, with no precedent to draw upon. The project requires upgrading from one to a double rail lane without altering the bridge's original main structure, while also upgrading the rotation mechanism to reduce the opening time from 23 minutes to 18 minutes per operation.

Egypt's CBD project in New Administrative Capital

It is located in the desert 50 kilometers east of Cairo, consisting of 20 high-rise and super-high-rise buildings, and supporting municipal works. At its heart stands the Iconic Tower, the core of the CBD Project, which spans 65,000 square meters with a total construction area of 262,000 square meters and a remarkable height of 385.8 meters. Upon completion, "the tallest building in Africa" will become Egypt's new landmark.

CSCEC actively introduced advanced techniques and explored efficient solutions. Throughout the project, we innovatively applied cutting-edge technologies including 4D Building Information Modelling (BIM), thick steel plate welding, and mass concrete construction for desert regions, so as to build high-quality, modern buildings. So far, during the CBD project, CSCEC has secured 34 total patents, received 6 quality control (QC) achievement awards, and earned 2 Building Information Modeling (BIM) achievement awards.

 The Alamein Down Town Towers Project

The Alamein Downtown Towers Project, situated in the core area of Alamein New City, comprises five ultra-high rise residential towers. Upon completion, it will stand as a new urban landmark for Egypt.

CSCEC has leveraged BIM technology for coordinated operations with specialized applications to forecast construction progress, identify project risks, and resolve various technical challenges such as complex structural construction. Simultaneously, the project actively explores and implements new materials, techniques, and technologies, including aluminium alloy formwork, mass/high-strength concrete, standardized temporary construction facilities, pre-stressing technology, and post-grouting technology for pile foundations.

These innovations have accelerated construction progress, enhanced project construction quality, and provided new demonstrations for green construction practices. The project has achieved 1 approved technological demonstration project, 5 BIM achievements, 26 patents, and 13 published papers to date.
