Recently, CSCEC has initiated the shield tunneling work for the west section of the Nordau Station-Arozorov Station of Israel's Tel Aviv Light Rail Green Line Project. The section utilizes the second shield tunneling machine for its operations.
The second shield tunneling machine, spanning a length of 120 meters with a diameter of 7.54 meters and a maximum descent gradient of 1.7%, segmented into nine sections.
Meanwhile, the east section of the Nordau Station-Arozorov Station, which employs the first shield tunneling machine, is nearing completion. Excavation and construction processes such as steel support installation and slab constructions are advancing in an orderly manner.
The Tel Aviv Light Rail Green Line Project spans 39 kilometers, traversing the entire city of Tel Aviv, Israel's second-largest city, and connecting Holon and Herzliya. The G3-2 section comprises the underground part of the Green Line, including the construction of a 5.7-kilometer-long twin-bore tunnel, two entry-exit ramps, one underground station, and three aboveground station boxes.
