Recently, CSCEC completed the topping-out of the package 2 of the Selbe Subcenter project in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The milestone marks a shift from structural construction to interior finishing, mechanical and electrical installation, and outdoor construction.

The project is located in Ulaanbaatar's Chingeltei district and includes 26 residential buildings.

Excavation began in August 2025. To address groundwater conditions encountered during construction, the project team established a dedicated task force, which mapped the distribution, flow patterns and volume of groundwater and developed tailored solutions for different parts of the site.

Winters in Mongolia last about six months, with temperatures dropping to minus 40 degrees Celsius. Strong winds and heavy snow are common throughout the season. To keep the project on track, the team planned its winter construction schedule well in advance and worked quickly to resume construction whenever weather conditions allowed.

The Selbe Subcenter is a major urban renewal and public welfare project for Ulaanbaatar. Once completed, it will improve local housing conditions, expand public services, and bring tangible benefits to local residents.
