The Grand Mosque of Algeria

The Grand Mosque of Algeria is located in the central axis of Algiers Bay and close to the Mediterranean Sea, with a total area of 278,000 square meters and a construction area of 400,000 square meters. It is the third largest mosque in the world after the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Medina. It contains 12 buildings such as a minaret, a prayer hall, a cultural center and a library. The minaret, with a total height of 265 meters, is the tallest building in Africa and the tallest minaret in the world.
