Recently, at the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition in Toronto, Canada, the 2024 winners of the prestigious IWA Project Innovation Awards—often referred to as the "Nobel Prize" of the water environment—were officially announced. Among the honorees, the Huangxiao River and Airport River Water Environment Comprehensive Treatment PPP Project invested, built and operated by CSCEC, stood out from 108 projects across 34 countries, winning the Silver Award in the category of Exceptional Project Execution and Delivery.
During the two years of stable operation, CSCEC has treated a total of 66.81 million cubic meters of wastewater through standardized, regulated, and meticulous management, covering a total river basin area of 126 square kilometers. The water quality in the open channels has consistently met Class V surface water standards, with the best sections reaching Class III surface water standards.
The International Water Association (IWA) is the leading academic organization in the global water environment sector, and its Project Innovation Awards are often referred to as the "Nobel Prize" of the water environment. These awards, presented biennially, recognize innovative and practical projects in the global water industry, encouraging professionals worldwide to develop creative solutions for water-related challenges.
