Recently, CSCEC completed the project for the women's dormitory and gym at the Majnoon oilfield in Iraq, marking the completion of all living facilities at the heart of this world-class oilfield.

The project sits in Basra in southern Iraq. It includes a men's dormitory, a women's dormitory, a women's gym, and landscaping across the site.

The team built the project to European and American standards. Designers built a precise, effective BIM model for each building, using them to coordinate work and check pipe clashes—preventing potential problems before they could even arise.

Materials management ran on a digital tracking system that followed every shipment from planning through ordering, production, dispatch, and delivery. The team also planned shipments early, delivered materials in batches, set up early-warning alerts, and lined up multiple suppliers, keeping materials flowing and work moving without interruption.

Throughout construction, the team followed strict health, safety, and environment (HSE) rules for the oil and gas industry, used an international permit-to-work (PTW) system, and ran behavior-based safety (BBS) observations to keep the site safe. The project later won the International Safety Award – Distinction.
