CSCEC has successfully completed the rehabilitation works on four Senegalese stadiums, which have hosted several significant sporting events.
The project involved comprehensive repairs and enhancements to the stadiums—Leopold Sedar Senghor in Dakar, Aline Sitoe Diatta in Ziguinchor, Lamine Gueye in Kaolack and Ely Manel Fall in Diourbel. The smooth operation of the stadiums have revitalized Senegal’s sports development, providing strong support for the country's preparations for the 2026 Summer Youth Olympic Games.
On May 24, the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium hosted the IAAF World Challenge Dakar, where 160 athletes from around the world competed on a newly constructed track that meets international standards. The event attracted thousands of enthusiastic spectators.
On July 20, the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium also served as the venue for the Senegal Cup final, one of the country’s premier football events. In addition, the stadiums in Ziguinchor, Kaolack and Diourbel have become key venues for selecting teams for the Senegal Cup.
On July 30, the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium hosted the National School Sports Festival, with over 2,500 students participating in the event.
