Egypt's CBD project in New Administrative Capital

In terms of design, the CBD project scientifically utilizes various types of concrete to save construction energy. It adopts unitized glass curtain walls, coupled with high-performance glass and shading components, to reduce energy consumption. During construction, aluminum formwork is used instead of traditional wood formwork, achieving high recycling rates. A greywater system is installed to purify and recycle wastewater for on-site dust removal, irrigation, and vehicle cleaning, saving a lot of water. With the implementation of an intelligent management system, equipment can be intelligently controlled based on different scenarios, ensuring efficient energy management.

CSCEC has also collaborated with relevant Egyptian practitioners through platforms like the Luban Workshop, sharing sustainable development concepts and experiences. They have introduced the Up We Build (UWB) College to initiate a training program for young architects in Egypt.
