PPP project on the west section of the second cross line of Chongqing Highway completed

Invested, constructed and operated by CSCEC, the west section of the second cross line of the Chongqing Highway was completed on September 26.  The highway will be officially open to traffic on September 29.

The total length of the project is 14.4 kilometers, which integrates a extra-large bridge, an extra-long tunnel, a cluster swivel and a full interchange. In the construction, a series of new world records were set, including one "first" in the world and one "first" in China, and one world-class award and six national awards were rewarded. After being officially open to traffic, the project will further accelerate the improvement of the expressway network in Chongqing and bolster the development of the Chengdu-Chongqing dual-city economic zone.

The second cross line spans the main bridges of Weijing and Caige railways, and the construction area spans three busy railway lines. During the peak period, a train passes by every 3 minutes on average. During the construction, the shortest distance between the swivel bridge and the outer side of the railway line is only 2.9 meters. The scheme of "ectopic pouring first, then synchronous swivel" is adopted in order to ensure the safety of the railways. The "five bridges over three railway tracks" cluster swivel set a new world record of "the largest number of swivel bridges in the long-span cluster swivel, the heaviest tonnage of more than three long-span cluster swivel bridges, and the first multi-T-structure swivel bridge".

The bridges turn asynchronously at one time in the same area and plane, with a total weight of 21,500 tons, equivalent to the weight of 15,000 cars. In order to ensure the successful rotation of the five bridges, the project team carried out a lot of data calculation and repeated simulation deduction before rotation, and adopted precision instruments with an error of 0.1mm to monitor in real time, so as to ensure that the installation accuracy of the ball hinge was controlled at 0.5 mm, and the center accuracy of the rotating shaft was controlled at 1mm, which met the ultra-high precision of bridge rotation and improved the installation speed.

As the first long-span prestressed concrete rigid-frame bridge with a beam-arch combination system in China, Lijia Jialing River Bridge has a span of 245 meters and a total length of 785 meters. The bridge adopts a beam-arch combination system, which integrates the construction technology of beam bridge, suspension arch bridge and low-pylon cable-stayed bridge, and the information technology with "BIM+ smart construction site" as the core is actively promoted.
