Garden Expo Park in Jiangsu
The garden expo park turns a mine pit into a park, a valley into a paradise, and a deserted suburb into a home, creating a fine example of gardening and horticulture. During the construction, the project team insists on giving priority to protection, realizing restoration while carrying out mine pit treatment. Considering the topographic conditions of the mine pit, they designed the layout consisting of three sections, namely, plant garden, cliff theater, and mine pit hotel, so as to create an atmosphere of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
Garden Expo Park in Wuhan
The Park, transformed from what was once the largest single domestic landfill in Asia, covers a total area of 213.77 hectares, equivalent to 299 standard soccer fields. Advanced aerobic ecological restoration technology and closed-field treatment technology are used to achieve ecological restoration in three years, turning the original landfill into the green Garden Expo Park today.
Tianren Chang'an Tower
Located on the central axis of the garden, Tianren Chang'an Tower is the landmark of the 2011 Xi'an Expo Garden. It is 99 meters high, with seven floors and six hidden floors above ground, preserving the charm of the square ancient tower of the Sui and Tang Dynasties. The tower adopts a recyclable steel frame structure, and its exterior decoration is all matte silver gray alloy steel panels, which are energy-saving and environmentally friendly. As the main building of a modern large-scale international exposition, it also fully reflects the current era and modern aesthetic interest.
Garden Expo Park in Handan
As a high-quality urban green space, the expo park hosts a never-ending garden exposition created with ecological, cultural, creative and sustainable features. The core area covers a total area of 140 hectares. The project has comprehensively improved the former landfill and industrial wasteland by ecological restoration. Over 36,000 trees and 700,000 shrubs were planted in the park. Design ideas such as integrating the mountains with the water and adjusting buildings according to the land features have been carried out throughout the project. The harmonious symbiosis between man and nature was built by means of ecological construction.
New Exhibition Hall of the Hubei Provincial Museum
The new exhibition hall of the Hubei Provincial Museum has a total construction area of 64,000 square meters, and its appearance resembles a "tripod" when viewed from above. Part of the museum adopts full glass curtain walls, showing the view of lakes and mountains, so that the humanities and nature complement each other. From a distance, the blue glass curtain wall blends into the sky, reflecting the "hidden" aesthetics with a modern touch.
Ecological and Cultural Restoration of Meibei Lake Water System in Xi'an
Located in Xi'an, the restoration project is a famous tourist destination in ancient China. The lake is one of the three major lakes in the Guanzhong water system that Shaanxi Province focuses on. Centered on inheriting the history and culture, the project boasts the spatial pattern of "one core, one axis, two corridors and several nodes". It aims to reproduce the scenery in which the historical culture and natural landscape are intertwined, becoming another ecological leisure tourism backyard for Xi'an citizens.
