China-PNG Friendship School—Butuka Academy: As the first educational public welfare project in Papua New Guinea aided by China, the project has helped 3,000 local students get back into the classroom after completion. The project, located on the suburb of Port Moresby, the capital of the country, covers a total area of 48,000 square meters. The school has a primary school, a middle school, a kindergarten, teacher apartments, a football field, and a multi-functional auditorium and other facilities. The project adopts the steel structure prefabricated construction system independently developed by CSCEC. The main steel structure components were all processed by the first intelligent manufacturing production line of building steel structure in China independently developed by CSCEC. During the construction, the project teams has controlled the quality, and the project was awarded the 2018-2019 China Construction Engineering Luban Prize (Overseas Project) and the 2018 APEC Energy Smart Communities Initiative (ESCI) Best Practices Awards.
