The 2025 Green Cities event took place in Malaga, Spain. CSCEC received the Green Transition Contribution Award for its integrated use of green, low-carbon solutions and smart construction technologies in designing the intelligent construction industrial park in Longgang Distric of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. The award recognizes CSCEC's innovation and practical capabilities in building an industrialized, intelligent, and green production system, highlighting its global achievements.

The event is a flagship event in Europe—and worldwide—in the fields of green cities and sustainable development. The Green Transition Contribution Award honors organizations and individuals that have made outstanding contributions to advancing regional green transitions and China–Europe climate cooperation.

The intelligent construction industrial park spans 229,000 square meters and features a four-storey vertical structure over 50 meters high. It functions as a future-oriented hub integrating exhibition, production, education, and research. Built on intelligent, automated production lines, the park hosts a full-process smart manufacturing "super factory" for Modular Integrated Construction (MiC).
The project is a model of vertical industrial development, effectively addressing industrial land scarcity in major cities. Its prefabricated production approach enables building houses the way cars are manufactured.
To date, the industrial park has received NG (Next Generation) Gold Certification and been designated a near-zero-carbon pilot by Shenzhen. This recognition highlights CSCEC's innovations in carbon reduction, resource circularity, and sustainable industrial ecosystem development.
