The World Design Awards (WDA) 2025 have been announced, with CSCEC's planning and design project in Malaysia winning the award.
Located in Penang, Malaysia, the project spans approximately 75,000 square meters. Designed to harmonize people and nature, it creates a campus that blends humanistic character with ecological vitality.

Drawing on traditional architecture and modern design, the scheme fosters a tranquil environment where buildings and nature coexist in balance.

By adapting to local conditions, the design uses on-site excavation and backfilling to elevate the building base. Gently sloped terrain directs rainwater into the site, forming a “living water and green woodland” system that enhances landscaping and mitigates flooding during heavy rains.
The World Design Awards (WDA) are organized by the Architecture Community (TAC) and are widely regarded as one of the world's leading international architecture and design award platforms, carrying significant prestige and global recognition within the industry.
