Recently, the Forum on Cultural Heritage Conversation themed on "Shared Heritage, Shared Future" was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with CSCEC attended the event upon invitation. The forum gathered around 200 attendees, including representatives from leading Asian media outlets, key think tanks, and organizations involved in cultural heritage preservation.
In recent years, CSCEC and its overseas branches have made significant contributions to the protection of cultural heritage.
In July 2023, CSCEC employees took part in UNESCO’s World Heritage Volunteers program in Malacca, Malaysia, along with participants from six different countries. The volunteers were involved in the opening ceremony, forums with heritage experts, and inspection and restoration work on historic buildings at the volunteer camp. At the Cheng Ho Tea House in Malacca’s old town, CSCEC volunteers conducted measurements, load-bearing assessments, cleaning, and maintenance work.
The WHV Director expressed his appreciation for CSCEC, a Fortune Global 500 company, engaging in world heritage volunteer projects. He added that he looks forward to working with CSCEC to pass on heritage preservation values to the next generation in the Asia-Pacific and Indian Ocean regions.
