Recently, the opening ceremony of the 15th Arab Sports Games was held at the renovated 5 July 1962 Stadium, which was renovated by CSCEC. This year's sports event attracts over 2,000 athletes from 21 Arab countries. Nearly 60,000 participants and spectators from around the world gathered at the opening ceremony to witness the Arab Sports Games after 12 years.

The venue for the opening ceremony of the Games, the 5 July 1962 Stadium, has a history of 50 years. CSCEC conducted two important renovation projects on the stadium from 2014 to 2015, transforming it into a modern sports facility that meets FIFA standards and is suitable for various international events.
