Recently, the grid connection of the last unit (6#) of the Ganjiang Jinggangshan Navigation & Hydropower Junction Project  built by CSCEC was completed for power generation, which realized the three major goals of water storage, navigation and power generation, marking the overall completion of the main body of the junction.

The Ganjiang Jinggangshan Navigation & Hydropower Junction Project is an integrated navigation and hydropower junction project mainly focusing on navigation,with due consideration given topower generation and so on.

It is the last to commence constructionof the six planned echelons of the Ganjiang Waterway. Level III navigation has been achieved upon the project completion, which improves the living quality of local people and boosts the economic development of Jiangxi.

In this project, 6 bulb tubular turbine generator sets have been installed, generating over 500,000,000kW•h, which saves about 180,000 tons of standard coal annually compared to thermal power and reduces the soot emission by more than 30,000 tons. Since the first unit was connected for power generation, the total power generated has been over 110,000,000kW•h
