The Dajia Insurance Group Headquarters in Shenzhen—nicknamed the "crystal hourglass"—lit up against the night sky, marking the final countdown to completion of this striking skyscraper built by CSCEC.
Located in the Houhai Central Business District of Nanshan, the project spans a total floor area of 217,000 square meters and comprises a 57-story main tower and two auxiliary buildings. The main tower, rising to a height of 273 meters, is designed as an international, shared office hub.
Architecturally inspired by the concept of a "gateway to the city", the project merges functionality with artistic expression. A striking 30-meter-high sky garden crowns the tower, enhancing structural stability while offering sweeping views over Shenzhen Bay.
The façade features an advanced curtain wall system made of 81,200 square meters of high-performance glass. This includes double-layered Low-E insulating glass paired with sunshades, which reduces energy consumption while maintaining natural daylight.
