The Osaka Expo 2025 is set to run from April 13 to October 13, 2025. The China Pavilion, built with the participation of CSCEC, has officially opened.
Inspired by the form of Chinese scrolls, the pavilion’s exterior features five different fonts engraved with 119 famous Chinese poems, immediately evoking a deep sense of Chinese cultural heritage and artistry.
The China Pavilion is centrally located within the Osaka Expo Park, covering approximately 3,500 square meters and using around 1,116 tons of steel.
Its design features a unique, curved steel structure, with 3,750 individual components. The project team used BIM technology for 3D modeling and component coding, ensuring precise manufacturing details for every part.
During the quality inspection phase, the team utilized 5G and high-definition live streaming technology to link drone footage to a smart construction management platform. This method reduced the need for personnel to work at heights, addressing safety concerns and improving inspection efficiency.
Throughout the Expo, the China Pavilion will host a variety of activities, including cultural heritage performances, tourism promotions, academic exchanges, and economic forums. These events will serve as a platform for fostering cultural exchanges and mutual understanding between China and the rest of the world.
