CSCEC wins 9 awards in the Fourth Belt and Road Initiative Short Video Competition

Recently, the winner list of the Fourth Belt and Road Initiative Short Video Competition was announced. After three rounds of competition, eight CSCEC-produced videos were selected from more than a thousand works from nearly a hundred countries and regions in the world and won multiple awards.

Asma is a student in a African refugee school. For many years, she has received care and love from employees of Chinese companies in Egypt and Chinese volunteers. In the school, she learned how to spell English words, likes math and art, learned about Chinese culture, and grew happily.

In the vast desert in the eastern part of Egypt, the construction of new capital is in full swing. From the initial preparation to the project basically taking shape, Engineer Waleed has worked in CSCEC-built CBD project in New Administrative Capital for three and a half years and learned many new technologies and methods of material application. With the common efforts of Chinese and Egyptian constructors, the project has become a symbol of the two countries’ close and friendly cooperation.

A new hope on Brunei Bay

The CC4 bidding section of the Temburong Bridge in Brunei crosses the largest unexplored primeval rainforest in Southeast Asia. In order to reduce the impact of the construction on the environment, CSCEC chooses an innovative “propped-up” construction method and it greatly reduces the impact of dust, mud and other construction wastes on the primeval forest. Hailed by the Sultan as the most prominent symbol of Brunei’s national modernization, the project not only becomes a historic symbol of China-Brunei friendship in the new era to support Bruneian development, but also will become a dazzling pearl on the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.

Our Butuka Academy

Located in the south of Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea, the Butuka Academy is one of the best schools in the country and also the largest and most functional school with the most advanced teaching facilities in the South Pacific region. It only takes 77 days for CSCEC to finish the capping of 5 buildings in the academy. The project helps more than 3,000 local primary and secondary students attend school, serves as a bridge of China-Papua New Guinea cooperation and friendship, and plays a vital role in improving local education.

Water, sky, and We

To solve the problem of urban garbage sorting and transfer, CSCEC cooperates with the Maldives in building the country’s largest garbage transfer station. After completion, it will be capable of disposing tens of thousands of garbage annually around the capital. It will reduce marine waste as well. In addition, the project has launched an activity—“protecting beautiful home and embracing the green earth” to inspire people to join the actions of environmental protection, build the Maldives together, and protect the earth together.
