Recently, the second shield tunneling machine "Ethereal-3" of the Green Line light rail in Tel Aviv, Israel constructed by CSCEC was officially launched. The representatives of the project owner Metropolitan Mass Transit System Ltd. and the supervisor, the shield technology team from Italy hired by the owner and the person in charge of the Green Line light rail project attended the launching ceremony.

During the ceremony, the representatives inspected and tested the shield tunneling machine Ethereal-3 and performed an acceptance test.

The machine was completed by the cooperation between CSCEC project team and equipment provider after the systematic transformation of the original machine in Israel, and its performance parameters passed the owner's acceptance in one go, which won praise from the owner and the supervisor. The machine will be put into operation at the project's Lewinsky Station in September 2022.

The Green Line light rail project is located in the center of Tel Aviv city, Israel, and belongs to one of the three important livelihood projects of the Red Line, the Green Line and the Purple Line of the Israeli government's urban transportation planning. The total length of the Green Line is 38.5km (34km above ground and 4.5km underground), of which the G3-2 section constructed by CSCEC is the underground part of the Green Line, including 5.7km shield tunnel construction, 2 entrances above ground, 1 underground station and 3 underground station boxes.
