Recently, the Fujian Shimao Maritime Silk Road Museum, built by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), officially opened in Quanzhou, Fujian, the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road.
The museum is a large-scale comprehensive museum, with an area of 11,500 square meters and a construction area of 30,700 square meters.
It consists of five floors, with nine halls and one courtyard, including two specialized exhibition halls of the Forbidden City, the Shimao collection exhibition hall, the Maritime Silk Road exhibition hall, the Silk Road landscape map digital exhibition hall, the special exhibition hall, and the multi-functional lecture hall. And there are also cultural and creative spaces, cultural relic warehouses, museum-themed restaurants, underground garage and other facilities.
