Skyscraper Building Machine

The outer frame of Chengmai Financial Center, the tallest building under construction in Shenzhen, was capped, with the help of CSCEC's skyscraper-building machine.

The project is 388 meters high and has a total construction area of 180,000 square meters. With the total amount of steel used equivalent to three Eiffel Towers, the total steel structure weighed 24,000 tons and its installation took 668 days to complete. During the construction, the skyscraper-building machine, developed by CSCEC, has helped the construction efficiency of the building's core tube improve by about 30% compared to the traditional formwork method.

The five-storey building machine is capable of completing one storey in just three days. As an intelligent construction equipment integration platform, it provides everything needed for super high-rise construction. The platform weighs nearly 1,000 tons. With tower cranes and building materials, the total weight of the machine is nearly 1,500 tons, as much as the weight of 1,000 cars.
