CSCEC assists in economic recovery and development of Hubei province

Under the new norms of the post-pandemic period, Hubei province is stepping up its recovery of the economy and restoration of life order. China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) has actively participated in these efforts with great contributions to the province’s high-quality development.

Investing in the construction of newly emerging industry clusters

CSCEC has been committed to finding solutions for Hubei province’s industry dilemma.

Constructed by: China Construction Sixth Engineering Division Corp Ltd

Located in Xiantao, Hubei, with a construction area of 246,000 square meters, the factory buildings and facilities were built for non-permanent construction, civil engineering, water-power engineering, municipal engineering, insulation, and waterproofing, among other projects.

Shanying Huazhong Paper Co., Ltd.'s Industrial Wrapping Paper Project at manufacturing capacity of 2.2 million metric tons per year

Constructed by: China Construction Industrial & Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd.

Located in Gong’an County, Jingzhou, the recycling project uses 100% waste paper as raw materials. Upon completion, it will become the largest production base for industrial paper in central China, with a complete industrial chain from waste paper trading and paper pulp production to paper product processing and industrial wrapping paper manufacturing.

Supporting Hubei’s economic recovery in the post-pandemic period

CSCEC’s 235 sub-enterprises in Hubei province have taken active parts in social and economic constructions while incorporating COVID-19 prevention and control measures.

Yichang Wujiagang Yangtze River Bridge Project

The opening of the bridge will substantially advance the development of Yichang as a great modern city and a regional key city in the upper-middle reaches of Yangtze River.

Wuhan East Lake Deep Tunnel project

China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd is behind the project. The construction resumed on March 22.

Wuhan regional concrete premix factory of CSCEC-China West Construction

By the end of March, of the 20 concrete premix factories owned by CSCEC-China West Construction in Wuhan, 19 had resumed daily operations.

Optoelectronics Industrial Park Project in East Lake Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Wuhan

The construction of the Optoelectronics Industrial Park Project in East Lake Comprehensive Bonded Zone, contracted to China Construction Second Engineering Bureau Ltd., was back to operations on April 7.

Yichang Sanxia Airport New Terminal and Tourist Service Center Project

On Aug. 16, the construction of the new terminal and the tourist service center project at Yichang Sanxia Airport, contracted to China Construction First Group Corporation Limited, began pile foundation work.

Wuhan East Lake Green Path

The project is to construct the first around-the-lake green path in a 5A-Level national tourist attraction in China. With a total length of 28.7 kilometers, it is known as the “emerald necklace.”

Shiyan Utility Tunnel Project

Invested and constructed by: China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd

The project adds 21 new utility tunnels with a total length of 55.4 kilometers, serving an area of 72 square kilometers. It is designed to replace direct burial of utilities, which usually entails lots of maintenance hassles.

Facilitating Hubei province in the eradication of poverty

CSCEC has been taking multiple approaches to exploring the model of poverty alleviation, so as to contribute to poverty alleviation in Hubei province.

The Central China Division of China Construction Science and Industry Corporation has been directing its efforts to helping Baokang country in Hubei to pull through the difficult times by procurement of unsold tea, donation to build Hope Bookstore, and volunteer teaching.

China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd participated in Tuanfeng county’s economic upgrading, making bulk purchase of tea and agricultural products, offering subsidies to 62 households in poverty, donating to the county’s poverty alleviation and pandemic prevention and control funds, and signing a number of cooperation agreements with the county authorities.

China Construction Seventh Engineering Division Corp. Ltd and China State Decoration Group Co., Ltd helped with the sales of unsold agricultural products.
