In the United Arab Emirates, the Etihad Railway travels through many state-level ecological reserves. During its construction, CSCEC took good care of the animals and plants along the line. After two years of thorough investigation, the project department planned a new protected area of the same size and similar environment, to which all animals and plants were relocated.
CSCEC set up environmental protection fences around the reserve to protect birds and plants, built more than 70 culverts for animal passage, developed 50 hectares of bird feeding areas, planted more than 3,900 tropical plants, and protected the living space of rare birds and wildlife.
